Truck Decals
Decals were used for years to wrap trucks, until the introduction of KWIK ZIP. KWIK ZIP uses a frame system, which allows truck graphics to be easily changed in minutes.
The process of applying decals is intricate therefore truck wraps are printed in many pieces and applied on the side of trucks one by one. The seams where the different pieces join remain visible. Once truck decals are applied, you are able to see the trailer side rivets, which may alter the intended look of the truck graphics.
Removal of decals is hard and tedious and permanently destroys truck graphics. Decal change-outs and installations require days, dry weather and temperatures above 55ºF and highly trained installers.
With decal installation, old trailer graphics need to be removed prior to applying the new truck wraps. The surface needs to be smoothed and repainted. Rust needs to be removed and dings and dents need to be straightened. Graphic removal of decal stickers leaves ghost-like impressions, lowering the resale value of your trailers.
