Our History

In 1997, Shelley Smith and Marvin Smith were asked by a Fortune 100 Company to advise them on their truck advertising program. The company wanted to use their fleet for advertising not only their own products, but also their current vendor products.

Marvin co-founded Epic Worldwide in 1997. He is the inventor of the globally patented KWIK ZIP Graphic System for trucksides and the KWIK ZIP Tensioning System for rear roll up doors on trucks. Both of these systems were created to meet the demand for quick and easy graphic change-outs on trucks, buildings and walls. Epic Worldwide is recognized worldwide as the leader in truckside advertising and soft-sided graphics systems for the fleet industry.

Realizing a huge void in the marketplace for truckside advertising and that no acceptable system existed to place changeable truck graphics on the sides of trailers, they founded Epic Worldwide with Shelley assuming the duties as President and Marvin as CEO.

After a few months of extensive research, they came up with a detailed list of criteria for the system. They knew the system had to withstand the wind and resistance at highway speeds; the initial truck graphics installation had to take less than one hour; the trailer graphic change-outs had to be made in minutes; and the truck graphics themselves had to fit tighter than a drum. And so The KWIK ZIP Changeable Graphic System was born. It’s so revolutionary that it was successfully granted a U.S. Patent and has other patents pending.

Companies could now fully utilize their own trucks for mobile billboard advertising or use the space on other fleets of trucks to reach target audience accross the country.

Utilizing the KWIK ZIP Changeable Graphic System, Epic Worldwide has marked the fleets of dozens of Fortune 500 Companies, including Dunkin Donuts, Disney, Mercedes-Benz, Bridgestone, Subway, Dean Foods, Walgreens and Honda.
